Each year, the Social Security Administration releases a list of the most popular baby names of the year, taken from birth certificates in the United States. For the 13th year in a row, Jacob was the most popular baby boy name of 2011. Mason was the only newcomer to the top 10 list, kicking off Anthony. The name Brantley was the biggest mover of the year.

Jacob was the top baby boy name of 2010, with Aiden creeping into the top 10 for the first time taking the place of Joshua.
